The Dark is Old and Desiccated

Thumbnail image lovingly appropriated from Patrick Benson’s illustrations for the Minpins by Roald Dahl.

What a strange set of sounds coming through this instrument. I know these sounds are different and unexpected.

I wanted to lighten your touch. I wanted to lighten your touch, along with everything else. I wanted to lighten it up, right in the middle of all this heaviness.

What is the meaning of this everlasting kiss? What is the meaning of this connection? What is the meaning of this everlasting bliss?

Something here to play with. Something new to expand width.

Feeling it come to matter. Feeling it all come together. All the filaments of light.

And there’s that darkness, really old and desiccated. The darkness is old and desiccated.
