Back With You

I am always wrong about you, when I think I know what you’re going to do. I think I have it figured out, but I never do. I think I have it figured out, but I never do. That’s a credit to you.

I don’t really want to get what I want.

I just want to be free of the wanting all the time. I just want to be free, of even wanting to be free. I know this is just one of those times when I should slow and take some time. To see what I’ve been doing, that’s been out of line with you. To let myself get back to where I feel aligned with you again.

And not to be sad when I see what’s burning to the ground. Try not to be sad, when things are going down to the ground. But to see the love in it, of things going home. Yes, see the love in it, of things going home to you.

That’s all that I want - not to get what I want.

This is the time when I should be quiet. But you know I can’t, that’s not my way, I’m loud as a choir. And the only thing I sing about is unquenchable desire. Yes, the only song in my heart burns like fire.

I don’t want to get what I want, I just want to be back with you.
