The Inner Wild
The inner wild is the part of us that is big, pristine and free.
Inner wild is another name for unity consciousness, source, or the zero point field. I like the term inner wild because my experiences communicating with that dimension of being feel similar to immersive contact with nature.
When swallowed by the beauty of wilderness, I sense my small and important place within the family of life. Nature’s cohesion and perfection mirrors back to me the ways in which I am a droplet-in-the-ocean, water-and-the-wave being.
In all organic creations (children, fauna, rainstorms, minerals) nature radiates the truth of the connection among all parts of the all, while offering infinite articulations of individuality.
There is an inner wild as spacious, gorgeous and grand as the kingdom of nature we perceive to be outside of ourselves. This inner wild is personal, warm, and loving.
When we take our burdens to the inner wild, solutions spring up from inside us and we are healed through our own selves. These healings take place in deep, personal, meaningful, and beautiful ways. Often times the unfolding of the cure is so satisfying as to be almost worth having had the problem in the first place. Sometimes we’re also healed in funny, unexpected ways.
When we can restore contact with the inner wild, we remember where we really come from, and learn to be our natural selves even in our sometimes dangerous outer world. We can do this more easily because we come to know ourselves as fully belonging to the family of life, no matter what. This belonging and reconnection to oneness begins to cure our many layers of alienation, fragmentation and pain.
When we can at last revere the inner wild inside us and live according to its flows, then what we create, do, say and be in the outer world will support love, coherence and connection to be here, inside and out. This is what LionSong is for.
