Show's Over
We can start out any old place, and we always look kindly on your face. We know it’s hard for you. Anyone who says that’s not true is lying to you. There are plenty of them who lie to you darling. We know it shocks you to realize, but realize it you do.
Things can get a little tight when you have some kind of idea of how it should go. We know you’re trying to let go, but it’s not that easy because something’s holding onto you. It’s not even you that won’t let go - it’s something that’s holding on to you.
You think that you should change it up. There are so many things you think you should do, and that it’s all up to you. You think that you should it shake it up, try to shift the power and control back to you. But you don’t need to, darling. That long nightmare is over. Mm-hm.
You’d rather be surprised. You’d rather be happily surprised, than to be finally recognized for what you are. Finally recognized as something good. Finally released from all that’s been misunderstood about you.
You’d rather be surprised than favorably recognized. You’d rather be surprised to find it’s not all up to you anymore to find the way out. You’d rather find the walls of the maze collapsing around you, than to solve the puzzle once and for all.
You’d rather realize it’s all over, finally, at last, than to solve all the painful riddles of your past. You’d rather just come on home, fold it up, go back through the window in time, than to figure it all out, put it all back into the rip where it came out.
You don’t need to know any more than you already know. It’s over - show’s over, folks, go on home. The magic show’s over, folks. Go on and take yourselves home.
Enjoy your loved ones, and your families. And the freedom that you were born with, to create the world you’re born with, to enjoy the world you’re born with. Go on home to whatever you think of as your home.
